Things have just gotten more complicated for Cobra Kai star Martin Kove, the actor involved in a bizarre assault incident that took place last weekend. Not only was he removed from the convention because he violently bit co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim. But other allegations have resurfaced from events that took place during the production of the series’ last season. Kove was accused of sexual misconduct in the past, but the investigation did not have an official resolution.
Per a report by Deadline, the event in question took place during the production of Cobra Kai Season 6. The accusation was made in April 2024 by an extra on the Atlanta set where the Netflix series was being shot. The identity of the person who accused Kove of sexual misconduct remains undisclosed.

The victim alleges that Kove did not physically assault her, but instead constantly “leered” at her. She claims he made inappropriate comments during the production, and ultimately decided to reach out to the studio. Sony Pictures Television conducted an investigation that included talking to fellow actors and multiple interviews with extras. In the end, they determined Kove had to be addressed directly. The Deadline report indicates that Kove “was read the riot act” (a.k.a. reprimanded by the studio).
When asked about this week’s incident, Kove expressed shock at the allegations, and how they strongly resemble what happened in April 2024 on the set of Cobra Kai. Reportedly, all he was asked to do was remain inside his trailer during the production, but it hasn’t been confirmed if he apologized to his colleague. Today, the actor vehemently denies any wrongdoing:
“This is so bizarre as it was in April of last year. If there was something to confess, I would be the first to say it. Sony did ask me about the alleged incident, and I was completely transparent.”
It wasn’t true then, and it isn’t true now.
The Karate Kid star is in the public eye after the incident involving his co-star at the Washington State Summer Con. Hannah-Kim did not press any charges against Kove, but since then, a video has emerged of them interacting after the biting incident. Social media users are often vocal about these situations, and they usually stand on the victim’s side. But curiously, many of the replies on X come from users questioning Hannah-Kim’s claims because they allege that in the video there are no visible bite marks on her arm.
Martin Kove Faces the Unscrupulous “Cancel Culture” Monster
Martin Kove is one of several celebrities who have been accused of horrible acts in their work setting. Regardless of his intention during the biting incident against Hannah-Kim, Kove indulged in a violent act. As much as he apologizes, his career is now being assessed by the most unforgiving judge of all: the public.
The actor is now very much in the spotlight, and this will see numerous stories, rumors, lies and truths spill out in the coming days. While Kove is not a big Hollywood A-lister, the scrutiny will be just as damning on any future TV or movie appearances. Despite not being charged with a crime, Kove faces cancellation, a current phenomenon with enough power to end a multi-decade career.
