Luxembourg multi-LEARN Institute asbl, a local non-profit organisation promoting learning and development through interaction and diversity, is organising “Interculturality for Impact: Soft Skills in Practice”, a two-day event focused on information-sharing, awareness-raising and practical training in intercultural competences.

The event will take place from Friday 27 to Saturday 28 February 2026 at the University of Luxembourg in Esch-Belval.

Following programme:

Friday 27 February 2026 – From 09:00 to 12:00, Sirpa Laitinen-Väänänen (Finland) will lead the session “Wéi geet dat a Finnland? Well-being in vocational training in the light of new technologies”. From 14:00 to 17:00, Olcay Sert (Sweden) will present “How to develop interactional skills for teachers? Guided discovery tasks for professional and vocational development”.

Saturday 28 February 2026 – From 09:30 to 12:30, Evelyne Berger (Switzerland) will deliver a French-language session on managing cognitive and linguistic diversity during support interviews in healthcare contexts, including mental health settings.

According to the association, the initiative is being organised in partnership with TRANSIT-Lingua and the University of Luxembourg, with AMCHAM Luxembourg acting as media partner. The event forms part of the broader project ” Les soft skills de l’interculturel en pratique ” (SKILLS), which aims to strengthen practical intercultural competences across diverse professional and social contexts.

The organisers added that the SKILLS project receives support from the Luxembourg Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees and is co-funded by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).

General registration is open to all.
