Chelsea will play their final pre-season friendly at home against Italian side AC Milan.
This is the second game to be played at Stamford Bridge since winning the FIFA Club World Cup last month. On Friday, Enzo Maresca’s side sealed a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.
Estevao Willian scored his first goal in Chelsea colors, and Joao Pedro doubled the lead in the 90th minute. Summer signings Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Dario Essugo, and Jorrel Hato also all got to play in front of their home fans.
As their final test before the Premier League season kicks off against Crystal Palace on August 17, Maresca will aim to nail down his preferred XI for the opening game.
And Maresca has outlined the plan for the game. “We are going to try for sure to share minutes with all of the players,” he said. “Some of them like [new signing Jorrel] Hato started pre-season very early compared to us.
“It is important to see where we are, but knowing that I could see in the last few days where we are physically.”
