The culinary migration continues as yet another Birmingham chef announced he’s bringing his talent to Huntsville this year.
Chef Randall Baldwin is bringing a brand-new concept to the Rocket City, with learnings from his tutelage under iconic Chef Frank Stitt.
Keep reading to learn more about the new restaurant in Huntsville’s Village of Providence and what we can expect.
Chef Randall Baldwin is a Mobile County, AL native. Growing up near the coast inspired a lifelong love of culinary expertise, especially involving seafood.
He attended the Culinary Institute of America, knowing that he wanted to work in one of Chef Frank Stitt’s kitchens. Chef Stitt’s dedication to using locally sourced + grown ingredients spoke to Chef Baldwin, and what was once admiration turned into a working relationship.
Upon his graduation, Chef Baldwin garnered full-time chef positions in all 3 Stitt kitchens — Bottega, Chez Fonfon and Highlands Bar & Grill. Most recently, he served as the Kitchen Manager of Highlands.
Next, he’s focusing his attention on a new restaurant in Huntsville.
Dolce Amore will be an upscale, Italian-inspired restaurant featuring seafood dishes and a commitment to using locally, organically sourced ingredients.
It will be located in the Village of Providence, which is proving itself to be a culinary stronghold in the Huntsville community.
While we cannot yet speak to exactly what Dolce Amore will offer, we can expect that this will be a dazzling feat of culinary expertise from one of Alabama’s most accomplished chefs.
