Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, has said that he has asked for more information on the initial audit of his company Input Output Global’s (IOG) ADA holdings, but that he expects it to be ready for public release in about a month.
The preliminary audit report has been sent to him. And he has asked for a lot more background information and specifics in a few places. And “it’s coming together fast,” Hoskinson said in Saturday’s X post.
He added:
“I believe we are on schedule for a mid-August release, assuming the work continues at this pace and there are no delays.”
After disputing claims that $600 million in Cardano had been misappropriated, Hoskinson declared on May 19 that an audit report of IOG’s treasury assets will be released. Hoskinson expressed he was “deeply hurt” by the community’s distrust after the claims.
It followed criticism from members of the community. Such as non-fungible token artist Masato Alexander, who claimed that during the 2021 Allegra hard fork of the Cardano network, Hoskinson used a “genesis key to rewrite it and take control” of $619 million worth of Cardano. When the audit is public, Hoskinson promised to provide a thorough explanation via a livestream.
A dedicated website will also hold the report and other historical relics from the sale, he said. According to Hoskinson, he is also considering taking legal action against the individuals responsible for the accusations. Next Monday, he plans to meet with the defamation law company to go over strategies and options.
