A major leak may have just spoiled EA’s big reveal for Battlefield 6, with promotional materials sent to content creators ahead of schedule.
Streamer DooM49 inadvertently sparked the news after posting then quickly deleting a photo of a Battlefield-branded promotional crate on X.
The package, reportedly from EA, was stamped with the Battlefield 6 logo and featured straps labelled with familiar multiplayer modes: ‘Conquest’, ‘Rush’, and ‘Breakthrough’.
Another creator, rivaLxfactor, corroborated the leak, stating that EA is planning a three-day reveal event kicking off July 29.
According to the post, the showcase will include developer interviews and content reveals, with speculation mounting that an open beta may follow shortly after.
EA has yet to comment on the leak but the company had previously confirmed it would unveil the next Battlefield title during the northern summer, with a release window set before March 2026.
Following the rocky reception of Battlefield 2042, which launched in 2021 and still holds a ‘Mixed’ rating on Steam, EA appears to be taking a different approach.
Earlier this year, it launched ‘Battlefield Labs’ to collect direct player feedback during development.
The new entry is rumoured to include both a single-player campaign and a premium multiplayer mode, as well as a free-to-play battle royale component.
