“Chad Powers” is one of the most anticipated comedies to hit major OTTs worldwide, delivering a laugh-filled yet heartfelt sports drama as we follow the wild undercover misadventures of disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday as he takes on a new persona as the eccentric Chad Powers to pursue his football dreams with the underdog South Georgia Catfish. Chad Powers was renewed for a second season, with Hulu announcing the renewal in December 2025. No specific premiere date has been revealed, but filming has started already.
Filming began in January 2026, according to an official post on Chad Powers’ social media account that said, “Chad Powers season 2 is officially in production. Put your game face on.” Glen Powell has also confirmed filming was actively happening in interviews during the award presentation season, and that the physical toll of his scenes playing football has taken a toll on him as well.
The first season of Chad Powers premiered on Saturday, September 30, 2025, and showrunner Michael Waldron has previously indicated that he will try to release future seasons of Chad Powers with similar release from year to year, if Chad Powers receives a second season of production.
The second season of Chad Powers will likely premiere in early October of 2026, and potentially in late September to early November of 2026. Internationally, season 2 will probably be available to viewers via streaming on Hulu and Disney+, depending on where you live.
