On June 28, Abellana shared a screenshot of her sarcastic reply for the company, which followed up on an overdue payment for her account.
“May we kindly follow up regarding the status of your payment? Kindly be informed of the disconnection schedule today,” PrimeWater Tagaytay’s email read.
Abellana replied, “Okay lang po. Halos wala din naman po kayo supply na tubig everyday, so parang ganun din naman po (That’s fine. You barely have any water supply every day anyway, so it’s basically the same). But anyway, here’s the payment.”

The following day, PrimeWater released a statement addressing her concerns and clarifying the status of her account.
“Ms. Abellana’s account remains active with a minimum consumption of 1 cubic meter, which explains the standard P194 bill, along with a P20 meter maintenance charge. In accordance with standard utility practices, all active accounts receive a minimum monthly bill regardless of usage. Our team also made an initial visit to the property and spoke with the caretaker to explain the concern and extend support.

“PrimeWater has been conducting daily water deliveries to help ease the inconvenience of households affected by low to no water pressure areas. We understand how essential water access is to daily life. That’s why we remain committed to improving the overall water system in Tagaytay, while continuing to follow standard protocols and providing assistance to every concessionaire in need. Our lines are always open should further concerns arise,” the company explained.
“Visit to my property? When? Spoke with the caretaker? What caretaker? Daily deliveries? Really?” Abellana shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday, June 29, together with a screenshot of the statement.

PrimeWater, a company owned by the Villar Group, has faced growing public scrutiny in recent months. In April, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that he would order an investigation into the complaints over the company’s service quality.

Since then, several local water districts, including those in San Juan, La Union, and San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan, have moved to terminate or pre-terminate their joint venture agreements with PrimeWater due to alleged deficiencies in service delivery.
