
Police in Coventry have recovered a Mercedes stolen in Staffordshire. It was discovered in the city yesterday evening (October 4).
Officers were patrolling Radford when they spotted the Mercedes at around 9pm. Forensics are carrying out investigations to identify the person behind the theft, Coventry Police said on X.
Teams also seized a Peugeot and a Mazda in the city today (October 5). Both of the ‘surprisingly poor’ drivers only held provisional licences and were found to be uninsured.

A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was also seized near Edgwick Park in Foleshill this evening (October 5). It had been untaxed for 12 months and was subsequently recovered.
Coventry City Centre Police said on X: “Officers have carried out patrols in and around Edgwick Park this evening. Responding to concerns from local residents, we have removed a vehicle whose tax had been expired for 12 months.”
Anyone with information about the stolen Audi is urged to contact Coventry Police. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers.
A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “It was stolen in Staffordshire, located whilst on ASB patrols in a multi-storey and recovered. Enquiries are ongoing.”
