Police say Van Rootselaar first shot and killed her mother and 11‑year‑old stepbrother at a home before entering Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and opening fire on students and staff.Reddit users reported (Internet forum Kiwi Farms) finding a now‑deleted Roblox account with the username jesseboy347 that appeared linked to Van Rootselaar’s other online profiles. They said one of the games created under that account, titled ‘Remember,’ featured an experience created on a mall massacre in which players could fire into a crowd of civilians using multiple weapons like rifles, AR’s, rocket launchers, SMG’s, machine guns and snipers.

She was found dead from a self‑inflicted wound at the school after the attack was carried out.
