CUDIS has launched a new version of its smart health ring, featuring an AI-based coaching system to help users improve sleep, fitness, and recovery. The new model, called the CUDIS 002 Sporty Series, will begin shipping in June 2026.
As first reported by TechCrunch, the updated ring includes what the company describes as an AI “Agent Coach.”
The feature is designed to analyse user data and suggest daily health programs, recovery plans, supplement recommendations, and, when needed, referrals to licensed medical professionals.
The CUDIS 002 Sporty Series is made from titanium and weighs about 3 grams. It comes with interchangeable silicone bands in 12 colours, is water-resistant up to 5ATM, and offers up to 10 days of battery life.
The device tracks several health indicators, including sleep quality, heart rate variability (HRV), stress levels, daily movement, recovery patterns, and calories burned.
One feature the company highlights is “Pace of Ageing” (PoA), which estimates whether a user’s body is ageing faster or slower than their actual age based on collected metrics.
Unlike many wearable devices, like Oura, CUDIS says the ring does not require a subscription fee.
The AI Agent Coach uses generative AI to monitor trends in user data. According to CEO and co-founder Edison Chen, the system looks for warning signs such as poor sleep patterns, declining HRV, or elevated resting heart rate.
Chen said the AI can suggest lifestyle adjustments or guide users toward professional care if needed. He added that the company focuses on pattern recognition for users who want to improve performance and overall health.
CUDIS also includes a rewards system. Users earn digital “health points” for actions like walking 10,000 steps, maintaining good sleep habits, exercising regularly, or interacting with the AI coach. These points can be redeemed for discounts on health-related products through an in-app marketplace.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2023 by graduates from UCLA and UC Berkeley, CUDIS released its first product in April 2024. According to Chen, the company has sold over 30,000 rings across its first two models and has built an app user base of more than 250,000 people in 103 countries.
Chen told TechCrunch that North America, Europe, and Asia have been its strongest markets so far. The company has also partnered with organisations and brands, including UCLA, Roger Dubuis, and Lamborghini. It says it has worked with over 50 Olympians and 100 professional athletes to support recovery and performance tracking.
CUDIS says user data is encrypted and stored securely using the Solana blockchain. The company has previously described itself as a “web3 AI wellness company.”
In 2024, CUDIS raised $5 million in seed funding led by Draper Associates. Other investors included Skybridge, DraperDragon, Monke Ventures, and Foresight Ventures, among others.
The company plans to launch the CUDIS 002 Sporty Series on Kickstarter as part of its next growth phase.
