THE aviation regulator implemented measures on Sunday to ease flight delays at Bicol International Airport (BIA), as two commercial aircraft remained on the ground due to required technical inspections and maintenance.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) released a Notice to Airmen (Notam) at BIA to prevent possible operational problems.
CAAP said that a Cebu Pacific (CEB) plane has been parked at Bay 1 since Sept. 3, 2025, undergoing a thorough manufacturer-recommended inspection to ensure continued safe operations.
Another plane from a low-cost airline that encountered technical issues on Sept. 6, 2025, has been moved to Taxiway B in order to reduce runway traffic.
The Notam is in effect from 12:06 p.m. on Sept. 7, 2025, until 8:00 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2025.
