These initiatives aim to share knowledge, enhance blockchain understanding, and foster community engagement, paving the way for Cambodia’s digital economy. Designed specifically for those interested in blockchain technology and digital assets, BYEX provides guidance to help participants learn about blockchain fundamentals and real-world applications.
Both speakers and attendees responded enthusiastically to the events. Speakers expressed their appreciation for finally having a platform in Cambodia to share their journeys and insights, an opportunity they had long awaited. Many reflected on the challenges they faced when first entering the crypto space, emphasizing how difficult it was to navigate without guidance. They were proud to now be in a position to help newcomers avoid those same struggles.
On the audience side, the response was equally positive. Attendees voiced a strong desire for more events like these, where they can continue to explore the world of crypto, gain new knowledge, and access fresh opportunities within the ecosystem.
Notably, four speakers joined the two sessions to share their experiences, including Mr. Sambat Lim, Founder of Sambat Lim; Mr. KhmerXBT, Founder of Soursdey Web3; Mr. Zell, Founder of Klture Media; and Mr. Ly Kimsear, Co-founder of CamboSwap and Content Creator at Vertex. During the sharing session, Mr. Sambat Lim shared his insights: “Nothing comes easy; before diving in, you must do your research first.”
Mr. Sothy Balyley, who led the event, has been active in the crypto space for over five years, with a strong focus on NFTs. He is recognized for his expertise in community building, particularly on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), where he helps projects and brands grow through authentic engagement and organic reach. Beyond his formal roles, he is well-connected within the Web3 ecosystem, working closely with artists, founders, creators, and thought leaders across the region.
