Liv Crete-Sayer of Boscawen Elementary School has been elected New Hampshire’s 2026 Kid Governor, NH Civics announced Wednesday.
Crete-Sayer, a fifth grader, will be inaugurated Jan. 27 for her one-year term at the State House along with her Kid Executive Council members Chase Aldridge of Maple Street School in Hopkinton, Ben Webb of Auburn Village School, Prudence Krecklow of Rye Junior High School, Mac Ouellette of Kenneth A. Brett School in Tamworth, Lauren Heath of Webster Elementary School in Webster and Phia Scott of Lancaster Elementary School.
Peers across the state elected Crete-Sayer, who ran on a platform to address the dangers of smoking, vaping and drug use. She will succeed Jade Adams of Harrisville.
“The record-setting number of students who voted, and the 25 other candidates who courageously ran for office show how engaged our young people are — their commitment to service is truly inspiring,” NH Civics Executive Director Allyson Ryder said in a news release.
This year’s program included 129 fifth-grade teachers and 3,600 students, according to NH Civics.
