To help target anti-ageing, this cream uses the skincare firm’s Microsculpting Technology, a potent blend of power peptides and 99 percent pure niacinamide to penetrate up to 10 layers deep into the skin. In turn, cell turnover is regenerated, leaving fine lines and wrinkles less visible over time.
Also infused with SPF30, it provides extra protection against harmful UV rays that are known to be the number one cause of premature ageing. Loved for its “lightweight” and “silky smooth” texture, the Olay Regenerist Day Face Cream also provides 24-hours worth of hydration, which will be suitable for those with drier skin types.
For shoppers who may miss Boots’ flash-sale, or just want to check out any alternatives, then another budget-friendly option for an anti-ageing routine is the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler with SPF50 that costs just £14.99 for 50ml on Amazon.
Rival retailer Superdrug’s Optimum line is also famed for its anti-wrinkle qualities, with the Collagen Day Cream costing £15 for 50ml, although those signed up to the health and beauty chain’s loyalty scheme can bag it for £7.50.
As for the Olay Regenerist Day Face Cream, it currently averages a rather impressive 4.3 rating on the Boots website, as enthusiastic beauty buffs have said they are now a “convert” after finding that it left wrinkles “greatly diminished.”
One shopper said of the results: “Results in just one day. Wow, fantastic advanced skin science. Loved this, hydrating with a silky finish, beautiful. From the traditional Olay which keeps modernising, but keeps its fantastic heritage.
“Instantly hydrated my skin for 24 hours, after just one day my skin felt cared for and smooth. Over a few weeks my fine lines are much reduced. So recommended love it.”
A second glowing review read: “It has a lovely feel on your skin. It is quickly absorbed and made my skin feel dewy and moisturised immediately. Over a few days my skin felt firmer but supple and it looked brighter.”
Someone else raved over the cream, writing: “I received this item in a trial and I am a sworn convert to this beautiful cream! It has made a huge improvement to my mature skin and smells beautiful. It is easily absorbed and wrinkles are diminished greatly.”
One shopper less than impressed with the formula left three-stars and wrote: “Its not the luxury feel on my skin as I was expecting. it takes a while to absorb into the skin. Its an okay cream but definitely not my favourite.”
Meanwhile, another five-star review read: “I’ve started using Olay in my teens, I’m now 53 yrs old. I have compliments nearly every day at work and people I don’t know compliment my skin, they say I look 20 yrs younger.
“It’s a beautiful, soft, creamy moisturiser, not heavy at all and at a very reasonable price. It has gentle ingredients that are not harsh at all on your skin. My motto is pay less and look a million.”
