Police have issued an update regarding the attackers behind Sunday morning’s (December 14) attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney. Officers now believe that the suspected culprits are meant to be a father and son who opened fire on a Jewish Hannukah party on the beach.
In a statement, the force said the pair had been staying at a local Airbnb nearby before opening fire on thousands of people who had come to the hotspot. This location has since been raided by New South Wales Police.
As well as this, further details were revealed about the older man involved in the incident, with officers believing he had a gun licence and was allowed to own a firearm. It comes as one of the perpetrators has been killed, whilst the other remains in a critical condition in hospital.
