A body has been discovered at a popular beach in Wales, according to police. This morning, Friday August 8, emergency services including Dyfed-Powys Police, paramedics, RNLI and UK Coastguard crews were called to Aberporth Beach on the Cardigan Bay coast.
Residents reported seeing at least four police vehicles in the vicinity, and a section of the coastal path was cordoned off by emergency services. It has since been confirmed that a body was found. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the deceased’s next of kin have been notified.
A representative for Dyfed-Powys Police stated: “We received a report that a body had sadly been found in the water off the coast of Aberporth at around 10.30am today.
“The next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
The force also noted that a report will be compiled and forwarded to Her Majesty’s Coroner for Ceredigion, reports Wales Online.
