B&M staff were subjected to verbal abuse and pelted with eggs during a Halloween incident. Police were sent to the Fulwood Central retail park store in Preston on Friday night (October 31).
Reports indicate that a group of young people targeted the staff, who are now being sought by the police. Although the culprits were captured on CCTV, they had left before the arrival of the officers. Lancashire Police have confirmed that efforts are underway to find those responsible, and the Preston neighbourhood policing team is now investigating the incident, reports Lancs Live.
This was one of several incidents to which the police responded across the city last night, including fireworks being thrown at members of the public and a community centre.
A 12 year old who “deemed it suitable to launch what is essentially an explosive at other people” was apprehended following a chase and has been referred to the force’s early action team.
