‘Blippi’s Job Show’ Is Back With an Inside Look at Pilots, Mechanics, Zookeepers, and More

In an exclusive clip from the show, Blippi and Meekah learn what it takes to become a zookeeper.

You know that question every adult seems to ask you until you’re about 15 years old: What do you want to be when you grow up?

At first, little kids delight in giving their answer — mine was a marine biologist. Some kids say firefighter, or the president, or the guy who gets to scoop all the ice cream at the ice cream parlor. But eventually it can get confusing; you don’t know what you want to do for the rest of your life as you’re barely getting through your math homework.

Blippi’s Job Show aims to help kids tackle this challenge in an age-appropriate way — and a new season premieres on Netflix on September 22, 2025.

In season 1 of Blippi’s Job Show, a spin-off of the Blippi series on YouTube, the titular character aims to introduce kids to careers that might not just seem fun or interesting, but that also serve our communities. Season 2 expands on that by introducing kids to even more jobs that might spark their interest.

“Season 1 introduced kids to a wide range of careers, but season 2 takes things a step further by diving into themes most beloved by kids,” Lizzy Easterday, an executive producer of the show at Moonbug Entertainment, tells Parents. “This time, we zoom in on exciting jobs like caring for animals and operating big machines.”

Among the jobs kids will learn about in season 2 are zookeepers, veterinarians, paleontologists, mechanics, and pilots. “They’re exciting and aspirational, but they also offer something deeper, which is a chance to see how real-world jobs are built on care, problem-solving, and teamwork,” says Easterday.

In an exclusive clip from the show below, Blippi and Meekah join a zookeeper and get to visit the habitats of giraffes and other animals. The pair learn about the behaviors of the different animals, and find out what the duties of a zookeeper are, including feeding the animals and studying their behavior.

Blippi points out to kids that a job is more than just its function. Their dream job, whatever it is, also requires soft skills, which are attributes that are related to your social skills, attitude, and behavior.

For instance, Easterday explains that the “animal-focused jobs this season encourage children to develop their natural and curiosity.”

She continues, “By caring for and protecting animals, they see how kindness and responsibility come together showing that understanding animals also helps us become better friends, helpers, and explorers.”

Each job-centric episode is similarly committed to highlighting that the key to success is not only the skills they learn or are trained to do, but also their dedication, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

“Mechanics show us the value of rolling up our sleeves and solving problems,” says Easterday. “Pilots remind us that focus and practice can take us to new heights.”

Stimulating kids’ curiosity is at the heart of Blippi’s Job Show, and it does that by simply asking questions about the world, something kids already do by nature.

When Blippi asks questions like, “Why does a giraffe have such a long neck? How does a car engine work? What is a fossil?” he might encourage kids to explore their own communities, or make up their own games, when the screens are off.

“The lesson we hope stays with kids is to never stop wondering,” says Easterday. “And to know that with a little confidence, passion, and exploration, they can be anything they want to be.”

Parents also have the opportunity to step in and start a larger conversation about what they learned, what inspired them, and what they want to know more about.

Once you, as their parent, take an interest in their thoughts and ideas, you have a golden opportunity to bond with your child and perhaps even spark what might become a lifelong interest in anything from animals to planes.

“The dream may change a dozen times, but the conversation is what counts,” says Easterday. “It’s about giving kids the space to imagine, talk about what excites them, what they’re curious about, and know that their interests are valued and worth celebrating and exploring.”
