With Black Friday winding down for another year, I’ve been thinking about the best deals I’ve seen today, and one sticks out. It’s this really excellent deal on one of our favourite pairs of noise-cancelling headphones.
The Beats Studio Pro headphones have been reduced to £99 in Amazon’s Black Friday sale. This is the first time we’ve seen them drop below £100, considering they launched at £350.
Our tech reviewer, Rob Waugh, made these his best headphones for bass, saying, “The noise cancelling is powerful, cutting ambient sound out and reducing a loud passing train to barely audible.”

A great deal on the Google Pixel 10
Despite only launching at the end of August, we’ve spotted an excellent discount on the Google Pixel 10 on Amazon. It’s been reduced by £200 for the 128GB model and £180 for the 256GB model.
It scored eight out of 10 in our review, where tester Jon Mundy wrote: “The Google Pixel 10 Pro and its XL brother are relatively conservative updates, but they continue to provide two of the best premium smartphone packages around.” The larger Pixel 10 XL is also discounted for Black Friday.

Cyber Monday always falls on the Monday after Black Friday (that is, the first Monday after Thanksgiving – let’s not forget we stole Black Friday from the Americans, after all). It marks the last day of Black Friday weekend and will see the end of many of the best discounts.

In our guide to the best gaming consoles, the PS5 tops the list thanks to its powerful hardware, refined controller design and extensive catalogue of exclusive titles. The current discount applies to the digital-only version of the console, meaning it lacks a disc drive. How to know you’re buying at the lowest price
Many retailers are offering price guarantees this Black Friday, which in theory keeps them more honest. Here’s are a few examples.
Currys
Currys is running a “lowest ever price” guarantee, which means every Black Friday deal should be at its lowest price ever at Currys. We’ve checked this against price tracking websites and so far, it seems to stack up.
John Lewis
John Lewis’ policy isn’t special for Black Friday, but rather a year-round promise, which is: “never knowingly undersold”. This means that John Lewis price matches against its 25 biggest competitors to ensure it’s at the lowest price possible. If you find a lower price within seven days of purchase at any of the retailers listed on its website (including Amazon, Argos and M&S), you can claim back the difference.
AO
AO offers a seven day price match guarantee after delivery, meaning if you find a better price within a week, you can have the difference refunded.
Argos
Argos is offering a price guarantee on selected products marked with the ‘price guarantee’ badge on its website, valid until December 25. If the price of one of these products drops after purchase, customers can claim the difference back in the form of an Argos gift card.
Argos is also using ‘our lowest price’ badges, which means it’s the lowest a product has been sold at for six months, and ‘our lowest price ever’ badges, which means it’s the lowest price ever at Argos.

We’ve seen people consistently searching for Le Creuset for days now. And we can see why. In our recent review of the best cast iron casseroles, the venerable French brand came out on top..
But, the real question is whether Le Creuset is more affordable in the Black Friday sales? It depends on the model. The 28cm ‘Nuit’ coloured casserole which our chef Georgie D’Arcy Coles tried was reduced earlier in the week. Sadly it has now sold out in the 28cm size on John Lewis and it’s full price if you shop directly with Le Creuset.

Adobe market analysis suggests that Black Friday tends to bring the best discounts on clothing, but there’s no such thing as a good deal on an unneeded impulse purchase.
The Telegraph’s fashion editors recommend a cautious approach to the sales. “I have a one in, one out policy so I always consider what I will have to get rid of to make way for something new… And I also ask myself how often I will actually be wearing it,” says Head of Fashion, Lisa Armstrong.

Buying refurbished tech is something that we at Recommended have often talked about. Of course there are environmental benefits, but you can also take advantage of the lower prices at which these products retail. Still, I was surprised by the results of a recent survey which found that one in three of our readers have purchased pre-owned gadgets.

Ninja air fryers explained

This is my fifth Black Friday and I can’t remember one where Ninja hasn’t significantly discounted its air fryers. While they drop in price at other times of the year too, with so many retailers racing to the bottom to secure a sale I do think this is the best time to buy.
Over the last few years, Ninja has increased its air fryer offering substantially. Gone are the days of it being a simple choice between one drawer or two. Now, there are rapid cooking programmes, flexible drawers and portable designs to reckon with.

A weird Samsung deal

As well as offering typical discounts on its TVs, this year, Samsung is also offering to refund the cost of its VAT. Now this is an unusual deal, so when I received a tip-off about it, I knew it needed to be investigated.
Our TV expert, Chris Hall, did a deep dive and found it essentially means you’re getting two discounts if you buy a TV from Samsung directly. Here’s an example:
The 65-inch Samsung S95F (our current best OLED TV) normally costs £2,699. It’s reduced by £300, so the retail price becomes £2,399. Buyers can then claim the cost of VAT back, which is £399.83, meaning the final cost of the TV becomes £1,999.17. That’s just shy of a £700 saving.

How to find the best Black Friday deals
Telegraph consumer champion, Katie Morley is here to help you get a good deal.
“If I’m looking for a big ticket item, I’ll usually monitor the average price across all retailers before buying,” says Morley. “I never trust that ‘sale’ prices are actually the cheapest.”
You can use various websites to compare prices at multiple retailers. Idealo compares prices, delivery costs and times and includes ratings so that you can judge sellers’ bona fides. Price Spy and Price Runner also allow you to see price history.

Which retailers currently have a Black Friday sale?
A better question may be “who doesn’t have a Black Friday sale?” Such is the range and breadth of discounts currently on offer. You will find a selection of the best deals from these retailers in our Black Friday shopping guide. But, here are some of the sales worth paying attention to:
Currys
Currys launched its ‘Lowest Ever Price’ badge on a range of products in early November. This guarantee aims to show shoppers “Black Friday deals that have never been cheaper” (although we’d still recommend double-checking).

Amazon
Amazon officially kicked off its ‘Black Friday Week’ on 21 November. There are deals on its own devices, including Kindles, Echo smart speakers and Ring video doorbells, as well as on a huge range of products from electric toothbrushes to air fryers.

John Lewis
John Lewis is price matching any Black Friday deals against 25 of its main competitors, including Amazon, Apple, Argos and Currys. There are a number of deals to browse already, including discounts on coffee machines, vacuum cleaners and TVs.

Argos
Argos has a ‘Price Guarantee’ badge this year, promising the displayed price will not drop again before 25 December. If it does, you receive a voucher for the price difference. A number of Black Friday deals are now live, from duvets to heated airers.

Dyson
Whether you want a Dyson Airwrap or our Best Buy cordless vacuum cleaner (the V16 Piston Animal), Dyson usually discounts its full range of premium products, with deals currently changing daily. If a product is sold out on Dyson, consider checking John Lewis, Argos or Currys.

Samsung
Samsung’s Black Friday discounts are live, with deals across smartphones, tablets, laptops, TV, AV and larger domestic appliances. It’s also offering the VAT back on some of its discounted TVs, making for a double discount in a rather odd way.

Sleep specialist Emma’s Black Friday sale has already started, offering up to 30 per cent off a range of products until 1 December. Emma’s Premium Mattress Topper is currently our Best Buy, while the brand also features in our guides to the best mattresses and pillows.

Bed Threads
We reviewed Bed Threads’ new organic cotton bedding and rated its vibrant colours and thermoregulation, so we’re pleased to see it on sale for the first time this Black Friday. We’ve tested lots of Tefal products, including its compact clothes steamer, but the bulk of its Black Friday deals concern kitchen products. There’s a discount on one of our favourite dual-basket air fryers, which comes with a removable grill for indoor barbecuing.

Bosch has discounted its floor care and kitchen appliances. We’ve reviewed its smart stand mixer, which features an integrated scale so you can measure wet and dry ingredients straight into the bowl. We tested the Series 6 model, but the Series 4 is currently discounted.

Philips has reduced prices on its clothes steamers, air fryers and coffee machines. There are also deals on its hair removal devices, electric toothbrushes and sunrise alarms. Genuine parenting deals are pretty thin on the ground at the moment, so it’s good to see iCandy has a Black Friday sale. There are discounts on its prams and pushchairs and car seat bundles, which combine pushchairs and carry cots.

AO.com is another big retailer with a Black Friday sale, selling a large range of white goods from washing machines to fridge freezers. There are also some discounts on vacuum cleaners and TVs.

Sonos does some of the best Bluetooth speakers in the business, but it doesn’t offer sales often. Its Black Friday discounts have started, however, running until 22 December. Discounts include some of its excellent Bluetooth speakers and soundbars.
