Announced on Sept. 4, Bitwise’s latest move highlights Europe’s rising demand for regulated digital asset investments. The new exchange-traded products (ETPs) offer exposure to a variety of crypto strategies, spanning core tokens, staking, and diversified indexes.
A Broader Crypto Suite
The listings include:
- A low-cost Bitcoin ETP
- An Ethereum staking ETP
- A Solana staking ETP
- A diversified index tracking the MSCI Global Digital Assets Top 20
- A physically backed XRP ETP
All products are fully collateralized, stored in institutional-grade cold custody, and designed to integrate seamlessly into traditional portfolios.
With over $15 billion in assets across 40 products, Bitwise is pursuing its mission to bridge traditional finance and crypto. The company has operated in Europe for more than five years, offering BaFin-supervised products domiciled in Germany. Switzerland, with its strong demand and clear regulatory framework, remains a central hub for digital assets.
Regulatory Momentum in Europe
The launch comes amid shifting regulations across the continent. The UK is preparing to open crypto ETPs to retail investors from Oct. 8, 2025, after years of restrictions, while France is weighing broader distribution rules. These developments are fueling optimism that digital assets will become a bigger part of mainstream portfolios.
Strategic Timing
Bitwise executives framed the Swiss listings as both timely and strategic.
- “The five flagship products we have listed in Switzerland will broaden options for investors looking to benefit from the full potential of crypto markets,” said Ronald Richter, Regional Director for Europe.
- Bradley Duke, Head of Europe, added that expanding on SIX “fits our strategy of always aiming to provide best-in-class crypto ETPs.”
The move follows a summer of momentum for Bitwise. In August, the firm filed with the U.S. SEC for the first-ever Chainlink spot ETF, underscoring institutional demand for oracle-based assets. Together, these initiatives reinforce Bitwise’s role as a global bridge between crypto markets and traditional investors.
