Crypto exchange Bitget has entered a three-year partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg to promote digital skills and blockchain education among youth. As part of this collaboration, Bitget has joined the Game Changers Coalition, an initiative led by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation.

The initiative aims to reach 300,000 participants—including adolescent girls, parents, mentors, and teachers—across eight countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa.
By joining the Game Changers Coalition, Bitget aligns with organizations such as the Global Video Game Coalition, the Micron Foundation, and Women in Games to collectively empower 1.1 million girls with tech and blockchain skills by 2027. This effort is supported by Bitget’s $10 million Blockchain4Her program, which promotes women’s digital literacy and financial independence through mentorship, funding, and customized educational resources.
In addition to developing curricula, Bitget plans to connect UNICEF with leading blockchain protocols and Web3 developers who can serve as mentors and partners, bringing diverse technical expertise to the program.
“Our focus is on equipping adolescent girls with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills to help close the gender skills gap,” Bitget CEO Gracy Chen told Cointelegraph. She added that Bitget is working with UNICEF to create a scalable model that integrates blockchain education into global curricula, incorporating insights from top Web3 experts to ensure the training remains practical, relevant, and accessible to all learners.
Globally, adolescent girls and young women in low- and middle-income countries miss out on an estimated $15 billion in economic opportunities annually due to limited internet access and digital skills compared to their male counterparts. With 90% of today’s jobs requiring digital competencies, the Bitget and UNICEF partnership aims to close this critical gap.
Innovative Approaches and Emerging Technologies Are Transforming Blockchain Education
As part of the collaboration, Bitget Academy—Bitget’s educational division—will assist in developing UNICEF’s first interactive blockchain training module. This program will blend online and in-person learning, using video game development as a tool to teach the core principles of blockchain technology.
Chen shared the reasoning behind this approach:
“Gamification of learning breaks down complex topics to their core. Roughly 3.3 billion people worldwide play games, it’s only natural for us to learn best when our environment is interactive and supportive.”
In addition to gamification, emerging technologies such as generative AI are being leveraged to expand access to specialized digital skills. One example is Giggle Academy, a new initiative launched by former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, which aims to provide free, globally accessible K–12 education through AI-generated courses.
