Bitget Joins India’s I4C Sahyog Portal to Aid Digital Asset Law Enforcement
Bitget has officially joined India’s Sahyog Portal under the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), becoming the latest global cryptocurrency exchange to collaborate with Indian law enforcement in enhancing digital asset investigations and regulatory compliance.
In a press release dated June 23, Bitget confirmed its integration with the centralized I4C platform, enabling Indian authorities to submit data requests directly through Sahyog. This collaboration will streamline access to user information, transaction records, and digital evidence under legal provisions such as Section 94 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act.
“As India’s regulatory and enforcement framework around digital assets evolves, partnering with initiatives like Sahyog represents a meaningful step forward,” said Hon NG, Chief Legal Officer at Bitget.
Launched by I4C, the Sahyog Portal serves as a unified gateway for law enforcement to manage legal requests related to digital platforms. Its objective is to facilitate quicker, more coordinated responses to cybercrime and financial fraud cases involving crypto assets.
According to an earlier Hindustan Times report, over 45 exchanges—including both domestic platforms and international players like WazirX, KuCoin, and Bybit—have already integrated with Sahyog. Authorities are reportedly continuing efforts to onboard other major global exchanges, including Binance, to expand the portal’s reach.
