This collaboration brings together a global network of students to increase awareness and knowledge of Web 3.0 technologies, paving the way for a new generation of digital leaders.
The initiative launched with an immersive ‘game night’ event on September 8-9, 2025, designed to introduce over 100 students to the foundations of blockchain in an engaging, hands-on way.
The event – held at the Gameorama Spielmuseum in Luzern – was a centerpiece of the welcome week for students from the University of Lucerne, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and PH Luzern.
The two-day event was divided into an educational session providing a foundational understanding of cryptocurrencies and DeFi, followed by a wide-ranging gaming session featuring VR games, board games, card games and arcade classics.

This new cooperation offers a unique platform to equip students with the skills needed to build and improve the current Web 3.0 ecosystem, contributing to the sector’s long-term growth and innovation.

A workshop on ‘DeFi 2.0 and the rise of RWAs (real-world assets)’ is planned at the HSLU Informatik and Wirtschaft.
This session will dive deeper into key topics of the sector, including the tokenization of RWAs, cross-chain DeFi protocols, the Swiss regulatory landscape and advanced yield strategies.
In the long term, the initiative aims to expand the university network to other ESN chapters across Europe and develop a structured curriculum for ongoing crypto education initiatives.
This collaboration with ESN Luzern is part of Bitget’s global Blockchain4Youth initiative, a multi-year program dedicated to empowering the next generation with practical blockchain skills.
The Blockchain4Youth program aims to reach one million students and early-career professionals by 2026 through workshops, hackathons and industry collaborations.
