Bitget and UNICEF Launch Global Program to Train 300,000 Youth in Blockchain Skills Blockchain News ETHNews

Bitget has announced a three-year partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg aimed at delivering digital and blockchain education to more than 300,000 young people worldwide.

The initiative places a strong focus on adolescent girls and educators, targeting regions where access to digital skills remains uneven and economic opportunities are limited by gender gaps in technology education.

The collaboration positions blockchain literacy as a practical tool for empowerment, rather than a purely technical subject. By integrating structured learning with creative methods, the program seeks to prepare young participants for emerging digital professions while addressing long-standing inequalities in access to technology.

According to the announcement, the initiative will reach adolescents, parents, mentors, and teachers across eight countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa. The program aligns with UNICEF’s broader Game Changers Coalition, which aims to reach 1.1 million girls with digital skills by 2027.

The data highlights a clear motivation behind the partnership. Girls in low- and middle-income countries currently miss out on an estimated $15 billion in economic opportunities each year due to disparities in digital access and skills. By prioritizing adolescent girls, the program directly targets this structural gap and aims to build long-term pathways into future digital careers.

A central component of the partnership is curriculum development. Bitget Academy, the educational arm of the Bitget exchange, will create UNICEF’s first interactive blockchain training module. This marks a notable step in introducing blockchain concepts into established global education frameworks.

The learning model combines online instruction with in-person training, allowing flexibility while maintaining structured guidance. The curriculum will also integrate video game creation skills, using interactive and creative tools to make complex digital concepts more accessible for both students and educators.

Beyond curriculum design, Bitget plans to introduce UNICEF to leading blockchain protocols and developers. These industry participants are expected to act as mentors and partners, offering practical insights into how blockchain technologies are applied across different sectors.

From a structural standpoint, the initiative reflects a broader effort to connect Web3 expertise with real-world educational outcomes. Rather than focusing on speculative aspects of blockchain, the program emphasizes skills development, mentorship, and exposure to diverse technological perspectives.

Overall, the partnership between Bitget and UNICEF Luxembourg underscores a growing intersection between digital asset companies and global education initiatives. By centering on skills, inclusion, and long-term opportunity, the program aims to equip the next generation with tools relevant to an increasingly digital economy.
