
Jakarta – Bitcoin (BTC) prices rose over the past week. on Thursday (January 14), BTC briefly reached $96,232, or about Rp 1,62 billion (based on an exchange rate of Rp 16,909). Moderate U.S.inflation data supported this price increase.
As of today,Sunday (January 18),BTC remains up for the week,though the price corrected by 4.88% to $95,020,or approximately Rp 1.60 billion, at 2:57 PM WIB, according to CoinMarketCap data. Ethereum (ETH) also gained 6.92% to $3,305, or around Rp 55.88 million.
The price movement follows the release of the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December, which showed core inflation is more controlled. This result strengthens market expectations that the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates steady in the near future.
The U.S. CPI rose 0.3% month-over-month and 2.7% year-over-year.core inflation in the U.S. increased by 0.2% monthly and 2.6% annually. Analysts believe this situation will positively impact market sentiment.
