Alphractal CEO Joao Wedson has cautioned that Bitcoin and the broader crypto market could be on the brink of a sharp move, as several indicators flash early warning signs of a possible downturn.
He also flagged the rising Altcoin Season Index, which, while typically bullish for alternative coins, has historically preceded sudden market rebalancing led by Bitcoin.
Adding to the concern, Alphractal’s proprietary Alpha Quant system has triggered a sell signal, reflecting both technical weakness and apparent selling activity from large holders.
While Wedson doesn’t believe this marks the end of the current cycle, he sees potential for a sharp correction that could define a new price base.
“This isn’t the final phase,” he said, “but traders should be alert — market traps are possible.”
