Bitcoin and XRP strengthened their presence on Wall Street following the long-awaited launch of Bitwise’s 10 Crypto Index Fund (BITW) on NYSE Arca, a move that further bridges the gap between digital assets and traditional financial markets. The listing comes amid strong demand for crypto investment products, highlighted by nearly $1 billion in recent ETF inflows tied to XRP-related products.
After facing multiple regulatory delays from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Bitwise finally received approval to list BITW, marking a significant milestone for the company and the broader crypto industry. Journalist Eleanor Terrett noted that the approval process was challenging, with the fund being placed on hold several times before regulators gave the green light. Now that BITW is trading on NYSE Arca, investors can gain diversified exposure to major cryptocurrencies through a familiar exchange-traded product.
The Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund is designed to track the performance of 10 leading digital assets, with allocations determined by market capitalization and adjusted through monthly rebalancing. The current composition underscores Bitcoin’s dominance in the crypto market, with BTC accounting for 74.34% of the fund. Ethereum follows with a 15.55% allocation, while XRP holds third place at 5.17%. The remaining assets make up smaller portions of the index, providing broader exposure without diluting the influence of top-performing cryptocurrencies.
Alongside the BITW launch, XRP continues to attract investor interest independently. On December 8, spot ETF products linked to XRP recorded daily net inflows of $38.04 million, pushing total inflows to $935.39 million. Total net assets tied to these products climbed to $923.71 million, reflecting sustained demand as XRP traded near $2.09.
The combination of Bitwise’s NYSE Arca listing and strong ETF inflows highlights growing institutional confidence in Bitcoin and XRP. As digital assets gain further integration into traditional finance, products like BITW are likely to play a key role in expanding crypto’s visibility and accessibility for mainstream investors.
