The proposed collaboration is designed to combine Binance’s global blockchain expertise with Africell’s strong local presence and mobile infrastructure, with the aim of empowering African communities to participate more confidently in the digital economy.

Binance and Africell have announced their intention to collaborate on expanding blockchain education, cryptocurrency literacy, and digital asset services across Africa.

The proposed collaboration is designed to combine Binance’s global blockchain expertise with Africell’s strong local presence and mobile infrastructure, with the aim of empowering African communities to participate more confidently in the digital economy.

Key areas under discussion include the exploration of crypto-as-a-service solutions, with a focus on enabling crypto payments and digital services through Africell’s platforms. The initiative may leverage Binance’s payment technologies to make digital assets more accessible to everyday users.

On the education front, the partners plan to roll out co-branded courses and workshops via Binance’s education platforms, targeting improved crypto and blockchain knowledge across the continent. These initiatives are expected to support responsible adoption and build practical skills among users.

The collaboration also explores joint user promotions, potentially funded through Binance’s cost-per-acquisition (CPA) revenue-sharing model, as well as enhancements to peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto transactions. Planned P2P integrations aim to improve transaction speed, security, and convenience for users engaging in peer-to-peer trading.

Commenting on the announcement, Jack Wong, Business Development at Binance, said the two organizations share a commitment to empowering African communities through education, infrastructure, and practical digital tools, adding that the collaboration seeks to create tangible value by blending global expertise with local reach.

From Africell’s perspective, the partnership aligns with its strategy to expand digital services. Nidal Safetli, Head of Business Development at Africell, noted that working with Binance would help bring global blockchain know-how into Africell’s local ecosystem, equipping communities with the skills and tools needed to engage confidently in the digital financial economy.

Further details on the proposed joint programmes are expected in the coming months, with the possibility that the collaboration could be extended to other companies within the Lintel Group.
