After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before, starting his own website which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express and Manchester Evening News. Following that Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GIVEMESPORT as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.
Manchester United have already got one eye on the summer transfer window and how they’re going to improve their squad, and that should include a major double deal.
The Red Devils are expected to push to complete a midfield overhaul at the end of the season, with Casemiro already confirmed to be departing Old Trafford when his contract expires, while there are question marks over the long-term futures of Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes too.
However, midfield isn’t the only position that needs strengthening, and if the club are able to make it to the Champions League once again as they are aiming too, then there is an obvious deal for them to do that would immediately make them better.
Elliot Anderson Top Midfield Target
It’s been reported that the club’s top target to lead that midfield overhaul is Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson, who has enjoyed a sensational individual campaign, despite the team’s struggles as they battle against relegation.
The England international has earned himself a starting spot in Thomas Tuchel’s side ahead of the World Cup this summer, and a move away from the City Ground is expected, with United desperate to keep him in a red shirt, albeit one of their own rather than the Forest kit.
It’s understood that Forest are likely to demand a fee of around £100m to let the former Newcastle man, who has been described as one of the world’s leading players, leave if they are able to avoid relegation, given the player’s long-term contract, which has no release clause.
United are said to be willing to break their transfer record to get a deal done, and it’s just a case of convincing the player that Old Trafford is the right place for him. However, one way for them to make them a more enticing destination, is to bring someone with him that he knows well.
Man Utd Should Sign Murillo
Centre-back has been a position that Man Utd have got an abundance of quality in currently, but Lisandro Martinez’s injuries have been a problem in the past, while Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven are both young, and Harry Maguire is out of contract this summer.
The England international has had a resurgence of form under Michael Carrick, which has seen the club enter talks over handing him a new deal, but the club would be smarter to avoid that and look at investing in the future instead.

Murillo has been a standout performer for Forest since his arrival in 2023 from Corinthians, earning plaudits labelling him as ‘one of Europe’s best’. A move away from the City Ground has been mooted, and United would be an ideal destination for the 23-year-old.
It’s been reported that the club are planning a £70m bid for him, but the chances are that he would be available for less, and United could seal a deal for both players for £150m combined.
They would immediately be a stronger team with their arrivals, while also addressing problem areas on the pitch, and it would be excellent business. Man Utd must complete a double deal this summer to close the gap on the teams above them, and they’d suddenly be right in the mix for a title charge.
