Country music fans gathered for one of the biggest country festivals in the Country at Boyup Brook’s Country Music Muster last weekend.
Kicking off on last Friday, the celebrations continued to bootscoot through till Sunday with headline acts such as Andrew Swift, Ella Hooper and A Boy Named Cash lighting up the stage.
The annual hoedown also featured this year’s WA Country Music Awards recipients announced alongside the Emerging Talent awards.
Pilbara artist Corey Colum had the best haul in the award ceremony, winning the traditional song of the year for Paradise, album of the year and video clip of the year for Patience.
Imogen Whyte was announced the junior artist of the year, Amberley Maryellen was the emerging artist of the year, Dave Kent and Luke O’Shea got the open songwriter of the year award for Honky Tonk Dreams while Phil Walleystack won the contemporary country song of the year award for On The Rock.
Adele Oliver took home two awards, alt country song of the year for Angel and EP of the year for To Home And Heartbreak.
Helen Townsend and Shannon Smith won the top awards of female and male Artist of the Year respectively.
The group or duo of the year was The Little Lord Street Band and Sally Jane won the People’s Choice award.
