Community Access to the Arts presents its annual “I Am a Part of Art” exhibition, featuring nearly 300 works by over 150 artists with disabilities. The exhibit includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, photos, illustrations, and animations, all available for purchase, with artists earning commissions.
The exhibit is held in partnership with the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown and the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts in Pittsfield.
The exhibit at the Clark’s Lunder Center at Stone Hill runs from July 4 through Sept. 14. A free “Meet the Artists” and community art making event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, with CATA artists in attendance. The Lunder Center at 227 South St. is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in July and August. Admission to the exhibit is free.
The exhibit at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Ave., runs from July 9 through Aug. 22. A free reception with the artists will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 10. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and by appointment. Admission is free.
The exhibit celebrates the work of artists participating in CATA’s year-round workshops across Berkshire and Columbia counties.
To enhance accessibility, CATA is launching a digital exhibit guide via the Bloomberg Connects app, featuring behind-the-scenes content, artist interviews, and audio tours — available starting July 4.
