The Royal Father further observed that like priests, the traditional rulers were in touch with the people and knew where it hurts them most and the desire to address issues of insecurity was dear to the heart of the people of Benue.

He therefore called on the FG to work towards the construction of the Makurdi – Naka – Adoka road as well as the Abinsi – Tyulen – Wukari road and the bridge across River Benue at Tyulen, and make it motorable, adding that it would go a long way in addressing insecurity in Benue.

“This is not just a report, it is a demonstration of transparency, accountability, and the government’s unwavering commitment to the Nigerian people. It is a record of the administration’s efforts, policies, projects, and impacts across key sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, digital economy, security, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, and social development.

“As the Ministry is charged with the responsibility of communicating government policies, programs, and achievements to the public, the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation believes that the people must not only be informed but also be involved in the nation-building process.

“Today, we open the books and present the facts a story of challenges confronted, promises fulfilled, and a nation on the rise. From stabilizing the economy to expanding digital innovation, from transforming transportation infrastructure to ensuring uninterrupted academic sessions in our universities this administration has made significant strides”, the minister pointed out.

In his address during the presentation, the State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mark Dewua, explained that “The introduction of free education in technical colleges is a landmark initiative that promises to equip our young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today’s competitive world.

“This policy not only opens doors for countless students in Benue state and beyond but also strengthens our nation’s capacity for innovation and industrial growth and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic pursuit and personal development. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive education and youth empowerment.

“Furthermore, we acknowledge the significant progress on the Makurdi – Otukpo – Enugu road project, a vital infrastructure development that will enhance connectivity, boost trade, and improve the quality of life for citizens in Benue state and the entire region. Such infrastructure investments are key to unlocking the economic potential of our communities and fostering national integration.

“As the NOA in Benue state, we pledge to continue working closely with the Federal Ministry of Information and other stakeholders to promote awareness, understanding, and support for these impactful programs”, he pledged.
