
A decline has been recorded in major assets on the cryptocurrency market over the past 24 hours, APA-Economics reports, citing the CoinMarketCap platform.
The total market capitalization decreased by 0.66% to $2.34 trillion.
The CMC20 index, which reflects the overall market dynamics, fell by 0.80% over the day to 140.21 points.
The price of the largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, dropped by 1.02% to $67,748. Meanwhile, Ethereum rose by 0.45% to $1,997.
Among other major assets, BNB fell by 1.47% to $616, Monero declined by 0.95% to $333, and Bittensor (TAO) dropped by 2.78% to $191.
A downward trend was also observed in gold-backed tokens. The price of PAX Gold decreased by 0.44% to $4,935, while Tether Gold fell by 0.37% to $4,910.
The Fear & Greed Index, which measures market sentiment, remained at 12 points, indicating that fear among investors has intensified.
Analysts link the decline to weakening risk appetite in global markets and the strengthening of a bearish trend.
