Naga Munchetty was concerned for her co-star’s safety after an alert warning was issued
A BBC Breakfast report was interrupted by Naga Munchetty as she was forced to step in over the concerns for her co-star’s safety.
During Saturday’s (February 28) episode of the BBC hit show, Naga and co-host Charlie Stayt made a return to our screens as they presented the day’s top stories from the UK and beyond.
Early in the programme, the presenters announced breaking news on Israel launching a pre-emptive attack against Iran. Later on the duo were joined by Middle Eastern correspondent Jon Donnison, who was presenting live from Jerusalem.
As the presenter attempted to give an update on the breaking news, a loud alert went off on his phone and Naga interrupted the report.
Concerned for Jon’s safety, the host stepped in saying: “Jon it’s Naga. Sorry to interrupt but do you need to go now that an alert is on your phone? We need to just know that for safety.”
Jon confirmed: “I think we are OK for now. We can carry on for the moment.”
