DESTIN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Authorities are still searching for a 10-year-old who went missing in Destin and have announced their efforts will continue into Sunday.
An Aqua Alert was put out on Thursday night for 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger, who was reportedly last seen between O’Steen Beach and the L Jetties in Destin.
OCSO has deployed two vessels and ten divers, who conducted a total of 24 dives to find Trinity. Beach Patrol Units also search the shoreline, and Community Resource Deputies were deployed to help fill the operational gaps in the search.
The sheriff’s office says they are grateful for the public safety partners who assisted them on Friday, including three vessels from Eglin Air Force Base, one vessel from Destin Fire with dive support from North Bay Fire, and multiple vessels with divers — as well as a helicopter — from Florida Fish and Wildlife, all working in close coordination with OCSO personnel.
“We know that this is an incredibly difficult time for Trinity’s family and for our entire community,” the OCSO stated in its update.
Authorities say tomorrow’s search will focus on coastal and marine areas.
If you see her or have any information, authorities urge you to call 911 immediately or contact the OCSO at 850-651-7400.
