Hong Kong–(ANTARA/Business Wire)–Asia IP Exchange (AsiaIPEX) is a free online platform and database showcasing intellectual properties (IPs) around the globe. Developed and managed by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the portal aims to facilitate international IP trade and connection for global IP players. The platform consists of two sections: Creative Hub and Tech Hub.
Sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA)*, AsiaIPEX Creative Hub showcases a diverse range of creative IPs from the publishing, film as well as character and design licensing industries. It provides a platform for creative IP providers to connect with potential users and related service providers. To showcase how Hong Kong brands leverage creative IPs for business transformation, a Display Area will be set at the 15th Business of IP Asia Forum (4-5 Dec at HKCEC). This year’s BIP Asia Forum brings together over 100 speakers to explore IP’s potential for corporate development and financing under the theme “Leverage IP to Finance Business Growth”.
At the break-out session “IP-driven Transformation of Hong Kong Brands”, speakers will examine how local brands leverage IP to transform their business models, enhance brand identity, market penetration, and diversify into new business streams.
Another highlight, “IP Economy” will feature Mark Kingston, CEO and Co-founder of Libertas Brands (holding exclusive global rights of “Fuggler”), and Perry Chung, Executive Director, Strategic Development and Commercial Operations of Ocean Park. They will share how to leverage online-to-offline IP closed loop to boost revenue, expand customer reach through IP collaboration, and integrate cultural elements to enhance IP sustainability.
“Cross-border Transactions in Digital Culture and Protection of Intellectual Property” on the 2 day of the Forum will feature Zhejiang Cultural Industry Investment Group sharing insights on how Chinese mainland policies and regulations support the protection and operation of digital cultural intellectual property. Antchain and HashKey Group will share their expertise on the authentication and trading of real-world assets (RWA), exploring how blockchain technology safeguards the copyright and ownership of cultural works.
