Ashton Thomas Private Wealth, a wealth management firm backed by Arax Investment Partners, announced Collin Rigler has joined the firm as managing director, partner, and private wealth advisor, alongside Eric Montijo as director and private wealth advisor, as the company continues expanding its advisor roster across the Southwest and West Coast.
Rigler most recently served at Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James & Associates, where he was managing director of the Strand Capital Management Team and oversaw $200 million in client assets. Ashton Thomas said Rigler brings more than three decades of experience working with private clients and corporations, with a focus on individualized portfolio guidance and client service.
The firm said Montijo adds equity research and market analysis capabilities, including work with corporate and executive services. Ashton Thomas also said Kayleigh Nakamura has joined as senior registered associate in private wealth client services to support the team.
Ashton Thomas founder and CEO Aaron Brodt said the hires strengthen the firm’s ability to address a wide range of client needs in core markets by pairing experienced wealth management practitioners with what the company described as a comprehensive suite of solutions and products. Arax founder and CEO Haig Ariyan said he previously worked with Rigler and described the move as another validation of Arax’s growth strategy for advisor teams seeking long term partnership.
Ashton Thomas operates multiple affiliated entities that provide services including fee-based financial planning and investment portfolio management, retirement plan consulting, securities brokerage, insurance brokerage and tax services, according to the announcement. Arax positions itself as a wealth management platform that makes strategic control investments in RIAs and advisor teams, and said it is backed by RedBird Capital Partners.
