This growth significantly surpasses the national average of 6.8 percent for the same period.
The Central GST (CGST) Itanagar’s Commissionerate said the rise reflects the state’s strong economic performance, improved compliance, and the effectiveness of revenue-boosting measures.
Officials noted that higher GST revenue indicates expanding business activity, growing markets, and better tax administration across sectors such as retail, services, tourism, transport, and hospitality.
The state government said its policies promoting ease of doing business, governance reforms, and digital initiatives have successfully widened the tax base and boosted investor confidence.
Authorities added that the increase in GST collections has strengthened state finances, enabling greater investment in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
The CGST Commissionerate also said the government plans to digitize taxation, enhance business engagement, improve revenue tracking, and provide better training for both taxpayers and tax officials.
Officials said these measures aim to ensure compliance, sustain economic growth, and promote inclusive, long-term development in Arunachal Pradesh.
