TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Applications for the 2026 Summer Youth Training Program in Leon County are now being accepted, according to county officials.
The program is a five-week program running from June 29 to July 31, allowing individuals aged 14 to 24 to gain job experience by working with a department of Leon County, the Leon County Government announced. All positions will be 20 hours per week and pay $14 an hour, according to officials.
Furthermore, participants will also gain professional development training through the Learn, Earn and Advance Program, which officials described as a program “focused on essential skills such as goal-setting, budgeting, time management, customer service, and so much more.”

To help teens prepare for employment opportunities such as the program, the county is expected to host “Career Read: Teen Mock Interviews,” an opportunity for teens to practice mock interviews and to learn how to professionally present themselves, per the officials’ press release.
For those interested, it’s scheduled to take place on April 18 from 11 a.m. to noon at the downtown Main Library, located at 200 West Park Avenue.
