Apple’s Major Product Launch: New MacBook, iPhone 17e, and More

Apple’s digital launch event promises exciting new products, including a budget MacBook and iPhone 17e.

The technology sector is bracing for a significant hardware rollout from one of the world’s most prominent electronics companies. Reports indicate Apple is planning a major product blitz next week, opting for a digital launch rather than a traditional presentation.

Consumers and analysts are preparing for announcements spanning three days from 2 March through 4 March. This strategy reflects a growing trend for the technology giant.

What to Expect From the Much-Anticipated Budget MacBook Release

According to Bloomberg correspondent Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, Apple will introduce ‘at least five products.’ Among the most anticipated reveals is a completely new, lower-cost MacBook that is ‘very likely,’ to make its debut.

The upcoming device is said to come with a 12.9-inch display that’s both compact and easy to carry, making it an ideal pick for students who are always on the move. Under the hood, the lightweight laptop is expected to run on a modified version of the A18 Pro chip, which originally powered the iPhone 16 Pro.

To appeal to a broader demographic, the company plans to offer the laptop in a variety of fun colour options. Rumors suggest this entry-level model might launch with an aggressive starting price around $699-$799 (£550-£630), positioning it below the MacBook Air.

How the New iPhone 17e Promises Faster Connectivity and MagSafe Integration

According to reports from Mark Gurman, Apple plans to officially introduce the iPhone 17e during the first week of March. Positioned as the next evolution of the current model, the new smartphone is expected to deliver four noticeable upgrades over last year’s iPhone 16e.

Buyers can expect the new A19 chip to handle multitasking with ease while boosting battery life. Apple is also bringing MagSafe support to this model, giving users the convenience of wireless charging without stepping up to the higher-end lineup.

Another standout improvement comes from Apple’s custom C1X modem, which will deliver much faster 5G speeds and a more stable connection overall.

Furthermore, the device will incorporate the proprietary N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, giving users unprecedented internet speeds.

Why Significant iPad and Mac Upgrades Are Dominating the Industry Rumour Mill

Beyond the budget laptop and mobile phone, the technology firm has an extensive lineup of computing devices ready. Other potential products arriving next week include a substantially refreshed iPad Air equipped with the highly capable M4 chip.

Consumers might also see a standard iPad 12 powered by the A18 chip, providing robust performance for everyday tasks. Apple is reportedly working on a fresh look for the MacBook Air, centered around the upcoming M5 chip. It’s a move that should please the creative crowd — think editors and designers who’ve been hunting for that perfect balance of portability and raw speed.

For the power users, the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pros are also on the horizon. These models are built for the heavy lifting, specifically targeting high-end rendering and the kind of intense multitasking that would bog down a standard laptop.

The Exclusive Apple Experience Event for Select Content Creators

Adding to the excitement, Apple has begun sending invitations to a handpicked group of journalists and digital creators for an invite-only ‘Apple Experience’ event, sparking talk about what the company might showcase next.

The move has sparked even more speculation about what the company might reveal next. These private, hands-on sessions will take place in New York, London, and Shanghai on Wednesday, 4 March at 9 a.m. Eastern Time.

Because the company has framed this launch as an ‘Apple Experience,’ a traditional live stream presentation appears highly unlikely. Instead, the general public will read about the new hardware through a series of official press releases published online.

While two new Studio Displays are reportedly in active development, Gurman notes that releasing them next week might be ‘overkill.’ In any case, technology enthusiasts will not have to wait long, especially following the recent release of a second-generation AirTag last month.
