
Police are appealing for information after a crash this evening. At around 6.10pm on Sunday November 23, Merseyside Police received a report of a crash involving a white van and a grey Volkswagen on Robins Lane.
The grey Volkswagen was then abandoned on the St Helens street while the van drove off. It was further reported that, before the crash, an altercation took place involving a group of men. The road was closed after the crash.
At 6.40pm, traffic monitoring site Inrix said: “Robins Lane in both directions partially blocked due to an accident at Waterdale Crescent.”
The Robins Lane junction with Waterdale Crescent is yards away from a Merseyside Police station.
Police have now confirmed that the road has re-opened. Officers are still at the scene carrying out enquires.
