Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has set a target for officials to utilise Rs 30,000 crore in central funds for schemes by January 15. He emphasised the importance of complete fund utilisation and proactive measures in civil works.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to fully utilise funds allocated for centrally sponsored schemes by 15 January. He set a target of spending Rs 30,000 crore. After using these funds, officials should prepare estimates to request the next installment. Naidu emphasised that every rupee must be spent without compromise.

During the fifth district collectors conference at the Secretariat, Naidu urged officials to be proactive in fund utilisation. He also directed secretaries to finalise the budget for the upcoming financial year. Collectors were told to expedite civil works by meeting with construction companies every 10 days and blacklisting those unresponsive for weeks.

Paperless Governance Initiative

IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamaneni announced Andhra Pradesh’s move towards paperless governance. From 15 January, all government services will be delivered online, primarily through the Manamitra WhatsApp governance system. This initiative aims to eliminate the need for citizens to visit government offices for routine services.

Katamaneni explained that Manamitra will allow people to obtain certificates and pay taxes and bills via their mobile phones. He instructed collectors to ensure that physical files are completely phased out and that all district office files are processed through the e-office system.

Blockchain Technology Integration

The state government has launched AP DigiVerify, a blockchain-powered platform, to remove the need for physical certificate verification. Certificates issued through Andhra Pradesh Seva and MeeSeva have been integrated with blockchain technology and made available on DigiVerify, according to Katamaneni.

Krishna Babu, Special Chief Secretary FAC of the Infrastructure and Investment Department, revealed that 30 agreements were signed during the recent CII Partnership Summit. These deals cover sectors like ports, maritime infrastructure, aviation, and logistics across Andhra Pradesh.

The state is making significant strides in digital governance and infrastructure development. By leveraging technology, Andhra Pradesh aims to streamline processes and improve service delivery for its citizens.
