Ethereum’s price growth in 2025 is likely to outpace that of Bitcoin. This forecast was presented by analysts at Steno Research, citing historical trends and Donald Trump’s victory.
Experts estimate that digital gold will reach at least $150,000 from the current ~$94,000. Meanwhile, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization will more than double — from ~$3400 to ~$8000.
The ETH/BTC pair ratio will reach 0.06 within the year, compared to 0.0357 at the time of the forecast. This will align with price trends observed in previous cycles, the experts noted.
Investor interest in 2025 will shift towards altcoins, they predict.
“This expectation is partly based on the argument that Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election is more favorable for alternative coins than for Bitcoin,” the forecast states.
The dominance of the leading cryptocurrency will decrease to 45%, supporting the thesis of a potential altseason.

Analysts at QCP also believe that Trump’s inauguration in January will be a driver for the crypto market.
They acknowledged that Bitcoin’s momentum “stalled” by the end of 2024, although the asset closes the year with a growth of ~120%.
However, they suggest that digital gold will strengthen its dominance in 2025. The company’s experts explained this, in part, by the expansion of institutional adoption of the leading cryptocurrency.
Earlier, MN Trading analyst and founder Michaël van de Poppe suggested Ethereum could surpass Bitcoin as early as January.
