Shoppers are snapping up a cordless vacuum cleaner that they say is ‘on a par’ with brands such as Dyson and Shark. Luckily, the vacuum has been reduced in a limited-time deal on Amazon, but only until February 25 while promotional stock lasts.
The Gtech AirRAM MK2 Lightweight Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is currently available from Amazon for £179, down from £229.99, saving customers 22%. Using the brand’s patented AirLOC Technology, the AirRAM vacuum ‘effortlessly picks up large debris’ while pushing forwards, while also locking ‘on the backstroke to suck up embedded dust’, the site says.
It weighs 3.2kg, making manoeuvring easy, and with its low-profile handle, users can easily reach underneath sofas, beds, and coffee tables, meaning no area is missed. Plus, it has LED headlights along the front to expose any unwanted dust or dirt.

The site says the vacuum is bagless – with a flip of the latch, the collected dirt and debris is released into the bin. It is also powered by a professional grade 22V Lithium-ion battery, offering up to 40 minutes of runtime with each four-hour charge.
As an alternative buy, shoppers could look at this cheaper Lakeland 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner in White, currently priced at £99.99. This has handheld and floor modes, includes a small brush and crevice nozzle and has four built-in LED lights for dark spaces.
Or at Argos, there is the Vax Blade 4 Classic Pet & Car Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for £149.99. This is suitable for a variety of surfaces, including carpets and rugs, hard floors, laminate flooring, upholstery and stairs, and it offers up to 45 minutes’ runtime. Plus, the site says it includes extra tools for effortless home and car cleaning.
Back to the Gtech AirRAM MK2 Lightweight Cordless Vacuum Cleaner on Amazon, which shoppers have been loving. One said: “Absolutely brilliant cleaner, very light with excellent suction. I have had a Dyson and a Shark and this little beauty is on a par but so much cheaper.”
Another wrote as part of their review: “The suction is brilliant, emptying the cylinder is so easy and the light in the front is very handy.” A third added: “Ideal lightweight vac. Easy to use, plenty of suction. Simple to empty. All good so far.”
Others gave some feedback in their reviews, with one disappointed buyer noting: “Ok for the main carpet area but [not] for edges.” Another wrote as part of a longer review: “Overall very good. Slightly fiddly to put together, but ok once one understands that the parts need a firm clip together.”
