Just because we’re heading towards winter doesn’t mean that the garden gatherings need to stop. If you’ve got an outdoor space, there’s nothing stopping you from throwing some wood in a chimenea and having a firelit evening friends, even if it’s a little darker and colder than the summer barbecues.
For an added kick of heat, it can be worth installing some halogen heaters to your garden space. These devices work by using infrared to heat up objects in their path, making them a relatively safe and efficient way of keeping people warm in an outdoor space.
There’s currently a model of halogen heater on sale at Amazon with the ProBreeze Halogen Infrared Patio Heater down to £69.99 from £89.99. That’s a 22% saving overall, just in time for Black Friday.
This heater is capable of pumping out 2,000W of heat at its peak. It’s possible to wall mount using the included fixtures and can be adjusted within 45 degrees.
What’s more, there’s a remote control for turning the device on and off, so there’s no need to constantly reach up and touch the heater yourself. To top it all off, the heater is IP65 water resistant, so it should withstand what the British weather has to throw at it.
Other outdoor space heaters are available at Amazon, like this HARRIER 2000w Rounded Standing Outdoor Patio Heater. As Amazon’s number one best seller, it’s currently available for £43.99.
There’s also the Draper 2.0kW PTC Portable Electric Space Heater, which has a more compact footprint. Find it at Amazon for £35.53.
Shoppers have rated the ProBreeze outdoor space heater with 4.2 stars overall, with one review reading: “Fabulous heater. I am really pleased with it.”
Meanwhile, a second shopper adds: “Small, compact and the heat is great. Easy to use with the remote control.” A third customer writes: “I have two in a 4m x 3m gazebo, it has curtains and 2 sides, I put these on and they are amazing, so warm immediately!”
However, some other customers did have a few gripes to raise: “Accidentally dropped this and shattered the bulb. though i could just replace the bulb but turns out you can’t. don’t buy if your clumsy like me.”
Another disappointed shopper writes: “Very disappointed with the heat it gives, already had much cheaper one which throws out much more heat.”
