Alisson Becker was at the Ballon d’Or ceremony yesterday in France as he was nominated for the 2025 Yachine Trophy. The accolade celebrates the best men’s goalkeepers in world football.
Liverpool’s goalkeeper and Brazil international Alisson, who helped the Reds win a second Premier League title last season, didn’t win the award as it was awarded to Manchester City keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Alisson previously won the inaugural Yachine Trophy in 2019 and was runner-up three years later. This year, Alisson was runner-up.
The Brazilian has been on Merseyside since he joined the club in 2018, since then he has established himself as one of the world’s best goalkeepers. Liverpool signed the goalkeeper in a record deal, paying £67m from Italian side Roma.
Despite not winning the award, Alisson’s wife has praised him on social media. Natalia Becker shared a photo of the two dressed up for the occasion yesterday to her Instagram account.
She wrote “so proud of you” and used a red love heart emoji to show he love and appreciation for her partner. Natalia often shows support for the Liverpool star and is a regular Anfield attendee, along with their three children.
Earlier this month, the couple celebrated a special occasion together. The goalkeeper shared that it has been thirteen years that him and his partner have been in a relationship together.
To mark the anniversary, a photo of Alisson and Natalia posted by the Red showed them hand-in-hand with arms around one another. He captioned the post: “13 years together and counting. I love you.”
Natalia replied: “I love you more every day”, she also took to social media to pay her own tribute to her husband, she posted a snap of the two kissing as she said “13 years of us”, with a love heart and an infinity emoji.
At the time of joining the club in 2018, the footballer told Liverpoolfc.com: “In terms of my life and my career, it’s a huge step for me being part of this club and this family.” The family have settled down in Liverpool comfortably since arriving.
This year Liverpool FC launched a docuseries about the Becker family. The series follows Alisson throughout the Premier League-winning season of 2024-25.
It featured special interviews with his family in Brazil, who share stories of how he rose to become first choice goalkeeper for club and country.
The series concluded with Alisson, his family, former coaches and friends joining Brazil legends and Liverpool teammates in celebrating his Anfield success.
