FRISCO — After the Cowboys traded pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Packers, the club was able to secure the services of cornerback DaRon Bland with a four-year contract extension.
What about Tyler Smith?
“Obviously everything will happen in due time,” said Smith, entering the fourth year of his contract. “I think the most important thing for us is focusing on Thursday.”
Smith’s agent has spoken with club officials with talks progressing. Some players seek a completed contract extension before the beginning of a particular season. Smith hasn’t given the Cowboys a deadline for when he wants a new deal.
