New Report Offers Eyebrow-Raising Look Into Noem’s Relationship With Lewandowski
While Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and her top aide, Corey Lewandowski, who are both married, have denied rumors that they are in a relationship, sources told The Wall Street Journal the pair has made no effort to quell speculation inside the department.
A DHS spokesperson dismissed the affair rumors as “salacious, baseless gossip.”
However, Lewandowski has been spotted visiting Noem at her government-owned waterfront house, the Journal said. The secretary moved to the property after tabloids captured Lewandowski’s frequent visits to her previous apartment, it added.
The Journal noted that reports of the romance have made the White House, including Donald Trump, uneasy, prompting the president to reject the idea of making Lewandowski Noem’s chief of staff.
