Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the Russian Federation during his working visit, met families of Myanmar Embassy to the Russian Federation, Military Attaché’s Office, and scholarship students yesterday evening.

Also, present at the meeting were Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission member and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, and delegation members, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn and his wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Oo, families of the embassy and the military attaché’s office, scholarship students and officials.

First, the Myanmar Ambassador, and families of the embassy and the Military Attaché’s Office introduced themselves to the Senior General.

Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General said that he was pleased to have had the opportunity to meet with the families of the Myanmar Embassy to the Russian Federation, the Military Attaché’s Office, and Myanmar scholar-ship trainees. He arrived there to attend the “World Atomic Week Forum” which he attended yesterday in the Russian Federation due the invitation. Not long ago, I also attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 Plus in the People’s Re-public of China, as well as the military parade marking the 80th Anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. It can be seen that the State Government is also attending other high-level international summits. Participation in such international events brings beneficial out-comes for Myanmar. For the families of the Embassy and the Military Attaché’s Office, it is important to be aware of and understand the real political changes and the actual situation in the State.

Due to the electoral fraud that occurred in the 2020 general election, it has become necessary for us to undertake the responsibilities of the State in accordance with the Constitution (2008). Therefore, a free and fair multi-party democratic election must inevitably be held, and preparatory works are being carried out to be able to hold the election in the near future. We must learn lessons from the incidents of electoral fraud experienced in the elections we have encountered. Consequently, measures will be taken to prevent fraud in the upcoming election. To ensure there are no errors in the voter lists, the process will be conducted using the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) system. These MEVMs are reliable and prevent electoral fraud. Our aim is to ensure that the upcoming election is free and fair, a credible election, and to work towards establishing a credible Hluttaw. Furthermore, when casting votes, the representatives we choose must be those who can genuinely work for the country’s interests, truly implement the democratic system, and authentically uphold Our Three Main National Causes. They must be individuals capable of working for the betterment of the nation. The families of the Embassy and Military Attaché Office, as well as trainees, must also choose their representatives correctly and properly.

The families of the Embassy and Military Attaché Office, and scholar trainees, are per-forming State duties and pursuing studies in distant foreign lands, which are far away and fundamentally different from our own, amidst various difficulties. I also understand the difficulties faced by the Embassy and Military Attaché Office families and scholar trainees and, whenever the opportunity arises, I am providing the necessary support. While performing our respective duties, we must be faithful to ourselves, faithful to our work, and faithful to the State.

Since our government initially took responsibility until now, we have persevered with genuine goodwill and loyalty for the State and its citizens through encountered pandemic situations, natural disasters, politically arisen difficulties, crises, and sanctions. I would like to instruct the Embassy and Military Attaché Office families and scholar trainees to also be faithful to themselves, their work, the State, and its citizens.

As scholar trainees are sent abroad at great expense to obtain human resources for the future State, they must not forget the gratitude owed to the State and must reciprocate by serving the State’s welfare. They must diligently perform their assigned duties and contribute to the future State’s interests to the best of their ability. The State is sending scholar trainees to foreign countries with the aim of acquiring good human resources to build the future State. As individuals selected and sent as scholars to foreign countries, they must value themselves and strive harder for themselves and the State.

Additionally, I wish to instruct that we, the citizens of Myanmar, must live together in unity and harmoniously, taking care of our health. Each of us individually should live, travel, and eat with awareness and caution, exercising restraint, and by correctly carrying out what should be done, we must enhance the dignity of the State. Following these instructions, he inquired about and addressed their needs.

Subsequently, the Senior General presented food items and honorarium grants for the Embassy and Military Attaché Office families and scholar trainee officers. The Ambassador, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air), and scholar trainees accepted them.

Afterwards, the Senior General cordially bid farewell to the Embassy and Military Attaché Office families and scholar trainees.
